Top 5 WORST Weapons in Borderlands 2

Top 5 WORST Weapons in Borderlands 2

Maybe the obsession of Borderlands 2 players to get the best weapons in the game leads us to want to get all the unique weapons we can, whether or not they are legendary. Most of the weapons in the game are very good and will serve us on different occasions. There are also other weapons that will not be as good and will probably be forgotten in our inventories, but there are other weapons that will cause us a different reaction: they will frustrate us.

Simply because they are not the weapons we expected or because they are weapons that developers intentionally put in to troll us, there are some weapons that we shouldn’t waste our time in farming. In this list, we will save you a few disappointments and hours of your time, as we will show you what they are.

5- Chulainn

Although there are quite rare legendaries, the unique weapons that contain red text are usually the trickiest ones, as they usually have some dirty tricks that slightly affect your performance. One of the nastiest is the Chulainn; although this SMG has the great advantage of dealing two types of elemental damage, it covers you from Slag from the first bullet you drop, leaving you vulnerable to many enemy attacks.

Although to be fair, if you use a Psycho with a tree dedicated to gaining power the less life you have, it will be a very useful tool.

5- Chulainn

4- Flakker

Number 4 on this list is occupied by one of the weirdest legendary weapons in the game, from the brand Torgue; the Flakker is a shotgun with high destructive potential, capable of killing groups of enemies with a single shot…

The problem is that it doesn’t work as an average shotgun, as the Flakker fires a series of explosions that make it very useless at short range, making it a weapon designed to control hordes of enemies… If you keep your distance. But one of the worst things about this weapon is how you get it.

This is not a weapon that you can simply avoid, as it is obtained by killing The Warrior. It will surely happen to you many times that when you defeat him, you will see that it is a legendary weapon and you will think that you finally found your valuable Conference Call or the Quasar. Imagine your surprise and disappointment when you see that it is the Flakker.

All this makes it an unavoidably terrible choice, but at least it is simply bad, it does not generate negative effects as we will see below.

3- Bunny

Another legendary weapon, but this time from the brand Tediore, which are weapons that when reloaded are thrown and react like grenades. Although the rocket launchers of this brand have the great feature of turning into a giant rocket when reloaded, this little guy is, like the two previous weapons, a great tool to control large areas of enemies.

When reloaded, this weapon releases a burst of explosions before slamming into something and exploding. The drawback is that, unlike other rocket launchers of this brand, the Bunny moves by jumping, which is usually very affected by the terrain. This means that by your miscalculation or simply bad luck, this weapon can turn around and attack you.

And of course, using it in enclosed areas is usually a terrible idea, unless you have a well-planned escape route.

2- Bane

And continuing with the weird weapons, now it’s the turn of a weapon that the game itself recognizes that it’s cursed, and this should be enough warning for you not to use it. This is a weapon that has incredibly high power, but I assure you that you will not want to use it at any time in the game. This is because Bane, a Hyperion SMG, is a weapon with damage that even far exceeds the legendary SMG of the same brand; but in exchange for this, your movement speed will be incredibly affected.

With this weapon you will move as if you were always on the verge of death, making you easy prey for enemies such as rabid animals, which can kill you very quickly if you do not keep your distance. But in case this detail doesn’t make the Bane an annoying weapon, it is one of the few weapons in the game that has an integrated voice module, that is, it can talk, but unlike the other 2 weapons with this ability, the Bane will only be dedicated to shout and babble at every shot you throw.

Being an SMG, this becomes a torment unless you turn down the volume on your computer, as even turning down the sound effects won’t get rid of these annoying noises.

1- Crit

While I have pointed out that the blue weapons can have quite annoying negative effects, they also have the characteristic of being on many occasions unique rewards of some missions. This detail is one of the biggest problems with Crit: It is exclusive to Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragons Keep campaign. This weapon doesn’t affect your mobility, it doesn’t leave you vulnerable, it doesn’t scream like crazy and it doesn’t even shoot in a strange way, in fact, it even heals you when you use it…

So, how is it possible that it is in the first place? There are several reasons.

First of all, the mission to get it is annoying, and not content with that, in the last part of it you face a mini-boss that tends to glitch with the stage, leaving you immune to his attacks… But at the same time, he is immune to yours, forcing you to restart the game and prevent the boss from getting close to any wall or tree. When you finally manage to defeat him and see the incredible stats of the Crit, you will realize why it is the worst weapon.

When you use it, the weapon constantly falls out of your hands, forcing you to pick it up over and over again. The worst part of this is when you are near a place with many chasms or during a firefight with many enemies, you can lose it forever. Trying to grab it can get you killed and, in the worst-case scenario, you will see it fall and lose it forever through a rift.

It may be an incredibly strong weapon, but because of the stress it generates, the constant possibility of losing it, and the difficult way to get it, we don’t recommend you go looking for it.
